Q. How do we get our Hawaii marriage license?
A. You can start the process online, but you MUST personally appear before a licensing agent and show proper ID to get your marriage license. For more information please visit this site.

Q. Will my photos look just as amazing as the ones I see throughout the website?
A. YES! Every photo you see on our website was taken by Dawn Eicher so rest assured. What you see is what you get! For more samples of her work, please click here to see her full portfolio.
Q. Who will be photographing our wedding?
A. Dawn is your photographer 99% of the time. Occasionally she is already booked on your wedding date, and we can then request a suitable replacement.
Q. How soon can we view our wedding photos?
A. The turnaround time for your fully edited photo gallery is 4-8 weeks depending on the season. You can also request rush delivery. Please inquire for more details and options for your Kona wedding package or vow renewal on the Big Island.
Q. We have some ideas of photos we would like. Is it okay to make special requests?
A. Of course! We welcome photo ideas so we can capture your wedding day as you envision it. Please feel free to share your Pinterest board or photo inspirations with us. Although our photographers have their own styles and a checklist of what the photograph at each wedding, they are always open to new ideas and suggestions to personalize your Big Island intimate wedding.
Q. Which is better? A sunset wedding, a morning wedding, or a midday wedding?
A. Both sunset and mornings provide the most ideal lighting for weddings. Mornings typically give you blue skies and blue water and normally fewer people on the beach. A sunset wedding gives you golden light and hopefully a big sunset.
Q. Can we have chairs or arches on the beach for our wedding?
A. Unfortunately Hawaii State Law does not allow chairs, arbors, or any other structures besides a small cake table and loose flowers on public beaches. We recommend choosing from one of our preferred private wedding venues for weddings with more guests and décor.
Q. What size wedding do you recommend for a beach wedding?
A. Hawaii Parks and Recreation permit up to 30 people for a public beach wedding. If you are looking to have more guests then we recommend choosing from one of our preferred private wedding venues. Capacity varies depending on venue. Our beaches are perfect for a Big Island intimate wedding!
Q. What happens if it rains?
A. Tropical weather is unpredictable, but here on the Big Island we are lucky to have great weather most of the time. In the case that there is rain we do our best to still make your day as enjoyable as possible. After all, it’s good luck!
Q. Can we venture to different locations for photos?
A. Definitely! We can travel to as many photo locations as you want as long as it is within the contracted photography time. Please note that travel time from one location to the next does cut into the photography time.
Q. What is required to reserve our date?
A. A signed contract with a 50% reservation fee. This fee is non-refundable.
Q. Do you offer other services not included in your Big Island elopement packages?
A. Yes, we do. We have developed trusted relationships with the most reputable vendors on the Big Island. We will be happy to coordinate a wide variety of services that you may be interested in using on your wedding day
